Never did try any of their soaps, but heard they were very good.

They were good but I was never wow'd, however this is sad news as any artisan closing its doors is not a good thing. I wish them all the best in the future.

Tend to agree. Good if not great soaps but they seemed to have a diehard following.

Sad to see them close the doors nonetheless.

Loved the London Morning Scent - sorry to see him go.

I had Baker St. for a brief time; performance was nice, but I didn't care for the scent (nor much for the other scents I sampled). Still, sad to see an admired artisan shut its doors.

David : DE shaving since Nov 2014. Nowadays giving in to the single-edge siren call.

Maybe not diehard enough. I wonder how much more of this we will see in the near future. When I came back into this several years ago there were choices, but nothing like there are now. I think the market has hit a saturation point and some artisans will be weeded out unfortunately.

Damn this sucks! Baker St. is one of the soaps I won in a PIF and I love it. Performance and scent. I might have to buy a tub, maybe wait until they go on clearance or something.

Pretty sure stock will dry up fast. I'd grab it now.

Only tried their soaps in samplers from Maggards. Like others, I thought it was a good soap, just already have ones that are better for my skin and beard. Hate to see this.

I do agree that this is an unfortunate inevitability, the market can only bear so much as it stands.

That's where I am at. I have enough to shave for the next 20+ years, so I just cannot justify buying anymore when I already have stuff that works. I sold/traded a lot already as it is. I did want to buy the "For Flint," soap because of the cause though.
