Just adding my two cents here. Margaritas in the Arctic has to be hands down my favorite soaps - period. I recently placed an order for various samples and balms and I happened to mention in my order comments about how we want them to continue to make it. Rod assured me in the handwritten reply that they won't ever stop making it. Truly a unique scent from what I have experienced out there and the menthol level is just right. As with all Stirling products, great slickness and post shave feel.

As far as I'm concerned, Stirling is top tier stuff. Keep up the good work guys!

I just received my Stirling order and sure enough, Rod and Mandy have hit it out of the park on scents and packaging. I went with the full size aftershave splash and shave soap of Stirling Gentleman and a sample puck of Piacenza. The scent on Gentleman is excellent and sure to become a favorite of mine that will get a lot of use. It's a sweet, musky, woodsy scent to my nose. I've never been big on tobacco scents but I'm sure glad I took the risk on this one. The Piacenze has a strong lemon top note dominating off the puck as I expected based on reviews. There more to it but I will have to lather it to bring out the other notes.

The new packaging looks great. I was pleasantly surprised to see they are using a new bottle style for the aftershaves. They went with a rectangular shaped bottle with squared edges. I think they had something similar before but I didn't have any. I guess it's not safe to say all of the aftershaves are using this design, since I only have the one, but I hope so because it's the best looking bottle I have owned.

I was curious about the scent on Gentleman so thanks for your thoughts Hobbyist. It sounds like it's right up my alley.

I think you'll like it. I have no doubt the performance is excellent, as I'm sure you already know too.

Yep, those bottles are for all aftershaves now. They are new old. We used them in 2012-13, and switched to the green in 2014 when so many other companies started using the same bottle. We switched back because we got a bad batch of the green bottles and had a huge problem with breaking in transit. We're currently searching for something custom for them to make them stand out.

Glad to hear you like the Gentleman. It's a scent of which I am very proud.

Rod - seems there is a minor issue with the new labels and waterproofing. I think that I have over 15 of your soaps, but only 3 with the new labels. On all of them, I use the exact same process: I buy samples plus a tin container from you, I then remove the label carefully from the plastic wrap and affix it to tin lid. Never had any label of yours bleed when wet using this process. However, I used Stirling Gentlemen yesterday and got the label wet, which I turn bled onto my white countertop much to my surprise. It all came up, so no worries there. Label is firmly affixed to the tin. I've had others of yours where label would not firmly affix to tin and got wet with no bleeding occurring. Below is a pic of the label and you can clearly see the ink has bled out in the lower portion of the label. Again, not a big deal, but thought you'd want to know in case others have this experience.

Sorry for the confusion. The labels on the pucks and samples are still printed on plain recycled white labels. We haven't switched those to the waterproof yet as it more than triples our cost. We are planning on getting them in the waterproof version soon, though, as we've had multiple requests for them.

Thanks for the explanation. Again, not a big deal at all.
