It had to be something minor such as time spent building lather, amount of water used, or perhaps the use of a particular brush (though I doubt that).

my last few shaves have been with a synthetic brush and using my stirling sandalwood soap. I think I rub the brush over the lather for about 20 seconds before taking it to my face. in any regards, I'm glad the 2nd go around has worked for you!

Stirling lowered their domestic flat rate shipping price from $5.00 to $4.95. What a great deal and their products are already some of the lowest prices on the market.

Do you have a kink to their site? I'm getting the itch to try their soap out.

See below. Everything I've bought from Stirling has been great and their soaps and balms are among the best I've used. I have their balms, splashes, and shave soaps.

Stirling balms are gone but I don't know if they are being discontinued or what. I sent Rod an email this afternoon but haven't heard back yet. Anyone else know what's going on by chance? Last night I was shopping on there and saw all the balms were reduced to $4.50 for 4oz and $3.00 for 2oz which is a steal, but regular price is only a couple dollars more. It was late and my wife wanted to go to bed so I figured I would order first thing this morning. I went on there at around 8 AM this morning and the only balm left was Tuscany which I already have. Did anyone else on here see the sale and take advantage of it?

Here is info from an email they sent out January 30: "The post-shave balms as a whole are NOT being discontinued. The formula will be the same but we are changing up the packaging/labeling for a much more professional appearance."

So Rod sent out a correction email saying the balms were not discontinued and the formulation will be the same. They were reworking the packaging to standardize it with the other products. So they were clearing out the old packaging. Kind of like other artisans moving from tins to plastic tubs.

I was surprised on how fast they went.

Thanks Chuck! They sold out fast apparently. I'm ready to place an order there but I'll hold off until the balms are up.

I wonder why I didn't receive the emails. I have a account there.

This all went out on the newsletter list. Perhaps you have opted out. I have actually two accounts in his system, but only one is opted in. The emails came in on that account.
