ezlovan, any thoughts on the above. if properly boxed, it should be more than fine....probably even better than a padded envelope, honestly.

Unfortunately, I've lost my notes from my shaves before I could give my account of my time with the Stirling razors. I'll just have to leave you with my general impressions.

I've participated in most of the DFS pass arounds over the past year and have tried some great razors. Having said that, I think that the only one that I'm convinced I'm going to buy is the Stirling. I will probably go with the "standard" plate if I have to choose one, but I also enjoyed trying the Hyper-Agressive model. (It just takes a little more care while using it. I generally did not get too irritated by the HA.). In order for others to calibrate where I came down on the Stirling, the other two razors that are in the "likely" category from the passarounds are the Tatara Nodachi and the H&S N075 hybrid. The Nodachi is comparable to the Stirling standard but I think that the Stirling edged it out in my comparative memories. The H&S was very smooth but it's not quite as efficient as the Stirling. (I'm also auditioning one of the H&S Ti razors this week, but I don't think it's a fair comparison between the $500 Ti and the ~$200 Stirling. Plus I'm still not totally convinced I need a $500 razor.)

I liked the bottom-heavy handle better than the top heavy handle but both were comfortable. My preference is merely that - a personal preference.

So I'm sold on the Stirlings and am really, really glad that I had a chance to try both versions out.

I am ready to ship razors to next perso. I need to get address of wyzeOne who I think is next in line for the pass around. I sent a dm to him but no response. Thanks

I want to thank all involved and Rod and Mandy for the pass around. My preference in razors are smooth and efficient razors such as the WR2 1.35/1.55, Rocnel 2020 Sailor and Elite A, Haircut and Shave Ti, Carbon ++, Timeless .95, Blackbird SB, , As far as the shave with the Sterling i do not like to say this but I did not enjoy them. I did not like the handles and although both razors are efficient they were not as smooth and comfortable as I like. Again as always everyone has different preferences. I wish Rod and Mandy much success but I will pass on these.

Here's the most recent pass around list. As per the usual pass around rules, keep the razor for about a week and send it off to the next person in line. Once you're done with the razor, please share your feedback - whether good or bad - in this thread.

Also, as requested by Rod (ezlovan), please put the razors and cases in the provided box and ship the razors off to the next person in a priority mail flat rate padded envelope ONLY!!

**Please soak/spray the entire razor in alcohol or something similar before shipping it out and upon receiving it to reduce any virus risks!**
