Thanks for your impressions ShaveMD as I had similar results of a smooth yet efficient experience with very long lasting BBS quality results. As a daily shaver using the hyper-efficient plate I could have skipped the next day as the results were like a 36 hr shave equating others after 24 hours. Even so the plates were not harsh and my face could handle it as a daily razor.

As I noted in my impressions I felt the efficiency of the standard plate was similar to the Charcoal Goods Level 3 with the smoothness of the Paradigm 17-4 (the 17-4 was not quite as efficient). The hyper-plate was more efficient and since I have never used a Wolfman 1.35 as ShaveMD has I cannot comment but that seems reasonable as a comparison as those custom Wolfman razors have that efficiency reputation.

I also am eagerly looking forward to its release and wish Rod the best of success in these efficient razors.

I used the hyper efficient plate 2 days in a row. My face did not need a day off but there was barely anything to shave the 3rd night so I used the standard plate with a Polsilver.

When I used the plates I used the Standard plate for 3 days in a row then the Hyper Efficient plate for 5 days without any problems. For me I find the iKon Tech harsh as a daily shaver and after 3-4 days I need a break but no issues with the R41 (2013) as a daily driver. I also have had no problem with the other mainstream "efficient" razors (ie GC 84, Karve F OC, Timeless 95 OC which is quite smooth BTW). I hope this gives you perspective.

Rod was hoping for late summer/early fall release when I last spoke with him. I am also eagerly awaiting its release
