I intend to. That way those that do want them and have tried them out can request a specific serial number should they wish to do so. I don't think there will be an issue with them selling out. I hate artificial scarcity, so I foolishly had hundreds machined.

Awesome.  I've been holding back some of my shaving budget in anticipation...

Tomorrow morning its the real thing. I am happy I switched to the HA plate. I also changed out the Dallas handle for a Timeless Crown titanium. Although slightly lighter I didn't like the balance at all. The razor felt top heavy so I swtiched back to the Dallas. Much better. Congratulations Rod after almost two years you got yourself a winner.

I wish I had got both and NOT dropped the HA head. For $20 more it was a steal and I would probably use it some...........What was I thinking !!! ezlovan Let me know if I can get one separately now  Big Grin

I am very sure if you contact Rod he would send you one
Good idea, I didn't think of that. Thanks, I sent an email.

It just came in. I shave in the mornings and have other new razors to try. I used both in the pass around with my thoughts on the shave.

STIRLING SHAVE
Monday March 15, 2021
Razor: Stirling Stainless 316L ST
Blade: Wizamet (1)
Brush: Stirling Synthetic
Soap: Stirling Deton-8
AS 1: Humphrey's Alcoholado Maravilla 70
AS 2: Stirling Deton-8
Fragrance: Viktor & Rolf Spicebomb

Well I took the Stirling out for a spin today and it was a flashback to the pass around as soon as I took the 1st stroke of the razor wtg. I Chose to purchase the ST head which although being called Standard Aggressive is anything but standard. If you're a beginner shaver it ain't for you and Rod makes that clear in his description on the site. He doesn't advertise the gap which from the pic you can see is huge even on the ST head. I agree that there is more to consider than gap. This razor has it all set for aggressiveness in geometry, gap as well as positive exposure of blade. I had regrets that I didn't get the full set and so reached out to Rod ezlovan who is setting me up with the HA head as well. That said during the shave and feeling the big gap with positive blade exposure I wondered what I was thinking about adding the HA. Hey, a guy needs the whole set and I may use it also at times...............Maybe. At pass 2 I was feeling my face and thinking I really could/should stop and skip the Against The Grain pass......................................Nah, let's go for it. I knew if I didn't I wouldn't be happy with the results later in the day. I may try a 2 pass on another day and see how it goes, but today is a 12 hour day and I want to feel good throughout the whole day. I have to say I got an extremely close and smooth shave with just a tad of tenderness felt. Would I reach for this razor often? Probably not. Am I glad I got it? A resounding YES !! Will it stay indefinitely in the den ? I have no idea  Big Grin The Stirling Deton-8 is a Spicebomb dupe and I LOVE this scent. As Tim would say about the day and week, "Let's Kick this Pig!" Have a stupid fun day Everyone !!

A Yates H plate is a mindless efficient shave for me. This is a all hands on deck and pay attention but smooth if you've got your technique down and are paying attention. This one is much more efficient obviously and much better looking as far as I'm concerned. It's not a daily shaver for me and the H could be. I hope that answers things good enough for you as you keep in mind everybody's take is different. Have a great day

How does ST compares to Yates H plate?

The ST is several levels above the Yates H in efficacy. The H is smoother for sure, but the ST is more than smooth enough to serve as a daily driver for me (with a shallow angle). Both are incredible, albeit very different razors.
I "only" own 6 DE's, and those 2 razors have made the cut.
