Does anyone have both?

I have mostly 24mm brushes.
Two satin tip brushes and a plisoft

I'm trying to decide if I should get the 22 or the 26. 2mm off what I'm use to either way. Though the satin tips could be 22mm for all I know.

Thoughts?

Also I load from the tins and soaps i have are
Cella, wsps, cities bubbles, soap commander, phonenix small tin, dr johns, razorock, chiseled face, and Arko puck, and soon stirling soap tubs.

Worry the 26 might be too big but the 22 too small.

The 26mm will make something of a mess and you will "waste" soap. But I love using big brushes. They are a guilty pleasure for me but then what else is the shaving hobby thing? 24mm really makes sense to me but I have a 30mm on its way. What can I say? I like big brush and I can not lie.

I have the 26mm and have no interest in the 22 after owning a Plisson 22 and selling it off due to size. However, 24mm is my preferred brush size for synthetics but it wasn't out when I got the Kong. As for making a mess, I had the same problem the first several times using it, but then I learned to go easy and slow with it on my face lather and it has been an amazing brush ever since. I have been rotating my Thater 26mm and Stirling Kong every other shave for the last few weeks. I have other synthetics that I like but the Kong has been taking priority over them all.

I have the 26 and thoroughly enjoy it. It is, indeed, a big brush but sometimes that is just what I want. I have smaller brushes that I also really like, such as my Plisson pour L'Occitane synthetic, so it just comes down to what I happen to be in the mood for for any particular shave.

The 22mm is fine for me, but I do wish the handle was slightly larger to give more of a griping surface.

I have a 30mm Whipped Dog and it's also a great brush. Which 30mm did you order?

I think you miss my point about the mess. I don't try to keep it neater. For me, the mess is part of the silliness of using a huge brush. I can make no practical claim for using a brush any larger than 24mm. I just simply love it including the mess which often includes getting it onto my glasses.
