What about silver razor head? Noble metal, antibacterial, used for silverware for at least 2000 years.

Significantly more expensive that titanium right, let alone steel? At $17-18/ounce, raw material cost for silver would be way more for a razor maker, plus I imagine it must be harder to acquire in terms of where you buy it from, records etc. 
Would be a badass product though!

Copper very interesting for its antimicrobial properties and heft not to mention appearance.  Some swear by BakeLite. Aluminium HardKote is the best mild shaving razor ever used by far (and hated Al prior to trying the H&S). Waiting for somebody to do a Carbon Fibre razor: real CF from handle to head done to MotorSports standards which suspect is the ultimate presuming geometry done right.  Other metals for sure deserve mention: Beryllium which will kill the user but man what a shave!  Haha

There's a number of early Gillettes that were silver plated. Silver tarnishes very easy. I love the low maintenance of stainless and titanium. I've avoided brass, copper, (and silver would also fit in this category) because I don't think the patina looks good.

Back to the main topic: I prefer stainless heads due to the weight. Stainless head + titanium handle is a nice combination for getting the right weight and balance without being overly heavy.

My father who was a surgeon told me to avoid aluminum because of the aluminum toxicity. Some new studies find a link between aluminum exposure and Alzheimer’s disease. Maybe this doesn’t apply to the material used for razors.

That’s more related to cooking instruments where there’s a risk of ingestion of scraped of material I believe also that’s why most antiperspirant has removed it due to it theoretically being absorbed through your pores

I've had a couple of Ti razors and liked them, but not enough to keep them. I do like the dull grey finish of some Ti, prefer it to a high polish. I suppose if I liked it better than stainless I'd still have those 2. I do want a Ti WR2, but other than that I'm satisfied with my SS and brass herd.

I didn't think I cared about titanium until I started using titanium razors recently. The light weight seems to smooth things out and I've been really enjoying it. Very different feel from stainless.
