Brian,
I am aware that Spam is a good cut of meat. It is the Spaters (SPam hATERS) that disparage it as mystery meat Smile

I had it for breakfast this morning. Eggs over easy, Spam and and english muffin. A great start to the day.

Had to look papas up. Never heard of it. Recipe I found looks good. And I agree Spam would be excellent in there.

This tiny can of Spam was in my Christmas stocking. It is adorable.

Posed next to a full size can.

I wish they made "Lite" in that size can. If they do I can't find it locally.

But I checked the website... They have it in singles.

Phil, have you seen this? https://store.spam.com/all-products/varieties

I envy you folks who can eat the various flavors and not eat for your heart (as I must now).

How did Ramjets post get by me? I agree that spam would work well there. It would also be an interesting variation on hash browns. I'm going to try it.

Yes I have seen that website.
Spam has the best swag store I have ever seen. Besides the spam varieties in your link they have all sorts of Spam merchandise. That's where the Spam socks I modeled earlier in this post came from.

Great site for a Spam addict.

And it is funny that you should mention Spam Lite Singles. These were in my stocking along with that cute little can of Spam.

Phil, I fried/rendered a can of reduced sodium SPAM today. Very thin slices for me. I wanted an egg/cheese/spam sandwich on my toasted homemade bread and homemade mayo. Everything was no or low sodium and low fat except for the spam. It was delicious.

Curious difference re: the Lite version and the 25% lower sodium version... The Lite "pops" as it's fried. The 25% reduced doesn't.

I have another egg on my menu for the week, maybe another of these sandwiches? I haven't had a pancake since early June. Maybe that. We'll see.
