Hmn, maybe it's a Philly thing then. I remember eating spam and cheese sandwiches with mustard with my grandmother.

Andrew,
I don't think Spam is a Phiily thing.
Scrapple is. I love scrapple but it is hard to come by outside of the Philly region.
Spam I can find anywhere. Good thing. I really enjoy it.
I am about ro microwave my "Egg McSpamwich" for breakfast. Yum. Character

I was surprised that Spam creates such love/hate feelings in people.

Love Taylor porkroll. Always associated that with the Jersey shore.

I love spam.  It was a staple in our house growing up because it was cheap.  Nothing better than fried spam except maybe fried bologna.   Character

One of the better innovations is the single serve packets that I will use when I am backpacking.  I will cook up peanut Thai noodles and throw the span in  for the extra calories.

In Cincinnati, our variation on scrapple is Goetta coming from the heavy German influence in our region.

German Scrapple looks tasty. I'd like to try it some day.
