I think I saw that same cloche in stock at their site. I’ll consider picking one up if I keep baking. I’ve been using a cheap Dutch oven that’s discolored from the high heat. It is clumsy and a bit too small.

A dutch oven does discolor and I agree it's clumsy because the weight and having to drop and remove the bread from a very hot dutch oven. The cloche is light weight and you just slide your dough on the bottom. So much easier and safer.

While I do like the look of the Emile Henry Cloche, the Emerson Pottery one that I have is $66 vs $147 for the EH - so if you're one a budget but want a cloche, try the Emerson

I paid $110.46 straight from their web site. They have it listed for $129.95. I had a 15% coupon (signed up for their newsletter), shipping included and no sales tax cause they are located in Delaware. Still more then the Emerson but I have no clue who sells it at such a high price cause that's a rip off.

Great looking loaf! One of the things I miss about being in ketosis is bread. But I'm on the track of low carb bread that tastes good. I just need to do it. My problem is that I don't want to make it and be disappointed. BTDT.

That's a nice looking loaf of bread, and it's amazingly tasty, I'm sure!

I have been baking bread for our use for about a decade or so. For the last few years, I bake all the bread I eat (though my wife buys her own stuff, as she doesn't like to eat white bread). I bake two loaves of sourdough every week, and other breads on occasion.

While I love the look of the boules of sourdough, I tend to bake my bread in tins as I use it for sandwiches and I prefer my sandwiches to be rectangular. I pretty much take a sandwich or two to work every day.

There's nothing like a loaf of homemade bread, and it's so easy to make that I don't even notice the time it takes anymore. I have a routine every week and I almost subconsciously feed the starter, make the dough and do the rising, so that I almost magically wind up with bread.

Yohann. you are correct. It is so damn easy and although sourdough takes a long time to make it's extremely easy to incorporate into your daily schedule. Once you make your own it's hard to go back to the commercially sold bread although there are some excellent artisanal bakers, especially in Europe.
