Monday Afternoon 10/03/25
Razor : Yaqi Ghost TI 90 DC. (Duel Comb) "First Use"
Blade : Feather Hi-Stainless.(1)
Brush : Yaqi Ocean 28mm synthetic.
Soap : Rustic Art Lavender Charcoal. (Hard Puck)
Aftershave : Pinaud Clubman Virgin Island Bay Rum.
Razor weight : 58 grams.
Hi all,
I had a lovely shave this afternoon with the Yaqi Ghost TI 90 DC.
This is the first Titanium razor I have ever owned I picked it up second hand recently.
The first thing that drew me to it was the duel comb design of the head which is unlike
any other razor I have or have owned.
Today I used the safety bar side only and I have to say the shave was very smooth and efficient.
I will use the open comb side for my next shave just to compare.
In my opinion easily as smooth as the TGS Syntesi in my last SOTD maybe even a bit smoother hard to tell.
The thing that stuck me was on the first stroke of the WTG pass it was a no brainer no angle
adjustment at all witch can be common when using an unknown razor for the first time.
Being so light weight (58 grams) I wondered if inexperienced wet shavers could mistakenly apply
pressure if they had only used stainless or solid brass razors witch may result in nicking or cutting themselves.
The in hand feel weight wise felt similar to vintage Gillette's. (very pleasing)
The soap was good to but I realized I should of brush loaded it not bowl lathered.
Lovely relaxing fragrance during the shave.
Cheers.
