So I had to dig to get the info and refresh my memory on why this project ended. Sad as it wasn't Shanes fault and he put a ton of time and expense into the development of this and came up with a great and as always for him an innovative product. I had a great shave this morning with the Era 5 OC Plate. Comfortable shave and close for a BBS finish. I don't see how a blade could be clamped any better than has been achieved here. The best test for a razor is how close and comfortable you can get a shave with 1 day of growth and this passes with flying colors. Thanks ewk for the trade that put this into my hands. If I was buying without knowing which to get, I would have bought the 5 SB plate but this is nice as I said and reminds me somewhat of the Gillette New Long Comb shaves I love. Good morning everyone! Hope you had pleasant evening.

New soap day with 345 Soap Co. "Den Of Thieves" soap and splash. This set is an homage to Tom Ford's "Rive D'Ambre", with a nice blast of citrus atop a bed of warm amber and light green notes. As with yesterday's set, I have never tried the frag it's based on so I can't comment on its accuracy. The scent is very light. Not sure if I got an older tub but even face lathering didn't seem to make the notes any more pronounced than directly off the soap. The real star here was the lather which was built with the new "Underground Pool" 26mm ST badger brush from Badlands Shaving. Superb slip and cushion with great post-shave face feel. Wonderful! Two passes (+touch-up) and I finished with the matching splash and a spray of Tom Ford "Tom Ford for Men" EdT.
