Shave of the Week Starting 9 January 2023
Parker 78r razor
Personna blade
PAA Synthetic brush
Nivea Shave Stick
Osage Rub/Witch Hazel w/aloe
Assorted A/S
Continuing on with my shave stick journey, I chose Nivea for this week. It lathers easily and gives a fine protective lather. The scent is, for me, pleasantly neutral which is fine with my covid wrecked smeller. I really like the Parker 78r and it pair just fine with the vintage Personna blade. Wish I knew which current Personna is the equivalent. At any rate, my face is happy so go enjoy your day folks.

HSOTD/SOTD 1/9/23
Shower: Duke Cannon Bourbon/Bay Rum bar soap (unremarkable)
PreShave: PAA Cube 2.0
Razor: Titanium Blackbird OC
Blade: PermaSharp, day 1
Soap: Razorock Irish Countryside
Bowl: Timeless
Brush: Razorock Big Bruce
PostShave: CWR, Alum, Speick
Balm: Zingari Man unscented
AfterShave: Razorock American Barber
This past weekend I went to Duluth Trading and picked up a few flannels and also the Duke Cannon soap. The soap was kinda meh, but the flannels are awesome! Kinda goes with the Irish Countryside soap and a few new flat caps I just got as well. Winter in North Texas and I need to keep my dome warm!
The shave was good - the soap lathered extremely well and the TiBird did its job nicely. A mail call this weekend brought in a few new items - the Speick (very nice as a Witch Hazel alternative, contains WH as well as a number of very nice botanicals) as well as a new Timeless Ti 0.95 which I used over the weekend and it did a great job. So my daily rotation of razors seems to be the Yates 921H/EH, Timeless Ti0.95 and the TiBird. Can't quite decide which one I like the best so I just keep rotating through til I decide that one stands out - but they're all super efficient and super comfortable to shave with.
Blessings gentlemen, thanks for reading!
