Hello everyone! Hope you had a pleasant evening.
Great shave today. Returned to my vintage Crabtree & Evelyn "Mysore Sandalwood" shave soap. Light but true sandalwood scent with wonderful lather built with the Zenith "B33" Boar brush for two passes (plus touch-up) with the '49 Gillette Executive and I finished with a splash of Quinn's Pink Grapefruit & Orange Rind witch hazel, followed by D.R. Harris "Sandalwood" aftershave splash and Elizabeth Arden "Arden Men Sandalwood" EdC.
Hope you have a great day.

Four passes and still not close:
Soap: Cremo Sandalwood
Razor: Wallgreen's gerneric disposable SE
A/S: Clubman Gent's Gin
No matter what I do, I can't get a decent shave with Cremo. My beard is just too tough (especially on my chin) and Cremo does zero to soften the beard. Lack of cushion I can accommodate by being very careful with pressure. Dull blade I can adjust for by doing an extra pass. But if the beard doesn't get soft, I am not going to get a decent shave no matter what I do.
Also, the Clubman stung more that it should have.
I can't figure out why anybody likes this stuff?
