After a brief, few extra days of the USPS losing my package, Sidama finally arrived. Gentleman's Nod has quickly become one of the top lineups in my den in regards to both performance and scent. This one is no exception.

I didn't get time to play and ponder with it (the soap. Don't make it dirty) before work this AM but still had a enough time to enjoy my shave. If anyone is expecting a coffee forward scent, this is not. It is there and so well blended that the scent wouldn't exist or be the same without it if that makes any sense. Off the puck the scent was lighter to my nose with the hint of apricot, berries and rum. Once lathered you get the hints of a vetiver, coffee, woody chocolate mixing in. Performance was top notch and I had enough creamy lather after a 10 second load off the puck for more than 3 passes. The modded Feather Pro in my Wilkinson Sword Imperial did the task of mowing down the stubble.

After a quick rinse and towel off I applied the splash. The top notes of the soap still lingered on my skin so the warmer notes more prevalent in the splash added to make a nice, complex scent. Dry down left me with a nice amber, vetiver, woodsy, accord easily appropriate for both business or a night out. Scent definitely leans more towards the cooler months of the year but knowing me, will see occasional use in warmer months as well. Props to GN for another great set.
