Excellent 3 pass shave this evening. The soap from Route 66 is amazing. The more I use it the better I enjoy it.
Really like that brush of yours Doug. Lavender Woods, does it have cedar in it?
Yes it does Guy.
"Deep woods Cedar, crushed Pine tips and hints of unmistakable wild English Lavender synergize to create a soothing, woodsy, masculine scent."

SOTD and Review of Ginger's Garden Spice Grenade
I have to disclaim at the outset that I love Spice Bomb cologne, but have only used those little sample vials so far, since the bigger bottles are a bit pricey. I have had my eye on this set ever since it was introduced at least a year ago, and I jumped at the chance to get some at a discount when a Shave Revolution had its sale recently. On to the review.
Packaging: I'm not a huge fan of the image on the containers, but I'm not thrown off, either. the tub is sturdy and the aftershave bottle has a spout to help with portion control - I like this since I tend to be heavy handed with my aftershaves. 8/10
Scent: Out of the tub, the soap makes me think of bread dough that is rising - a warm, almost yeasty scent that evolves into a leathery note quickly, and while lathering. The aftershave is spot on to the cologne scent - spice, leather, chili, saffron, citrus, tobacco. Excellent 9/10
Performance: Very little cream is needed to build thick yogurty lather - this one seems a little more "wet" than some others, and provides plenty of protection and slickness. The lather scent does not overpower during the shave. This cream uses argan oil for skincare, and I'd place it up there with, and maybe better than T&H creams. The aftershave goes on a little thicker - some people might feel its a bit oily. It dries down pretty quickly, leaving my skin very moisturized and smelling great. I would love the scent to last longer, but it is at least average or a little better for me - 4-5 hours, with a few whiffs later. Cream: 9/10 AS: 8.5/10
Overall, I am very impressed with this offering from Ginger's Garden. Very impressive cream performance and top-notch scent in both products.

My first use of the Black Label soaps from B&M, really good lather, and even though there's no menthol, the Japanese Peppermint has a nice cooling sensation to it. Good shave
