Brush: Vie-Long Epsilon Horse (aka poor man's Chubby Super)
Lather: Mystic Water Bergamot, Cedarwood & Juniper
Post-shave: Alum, Barrister & Man Kyovu Original, South Australian Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil

We're having a really bad summer up here in the north of Spain. A summer unworthy of its name, with too many days of that heavy overcast typical of the Asturian coast, and too many rainy days. Yesterday's storm caught me off guard on my motorbike (car was at the workshop) and I got home soaking wet, seriously pissed off, cursing the darned northern Spanish weather, and decided that in order to honour our summer (or lack thereof) I was to use either Tabac or Eufros Vetiver de Haiti for my evening shave.

And a shave with Tabac is always a great shave. I just love this soap and I wrote down on my "to do" list to try to find out why I have this tendency to use and love these vintage soaps. Perhaps they just work well and are nothing short of their modern counterparts. I know I'm clearly gravitating towards tallow based soaps, and this one is one of my favourites. Three passes for a BBS result and a Gillette blade that had a bit of a hard time dealing with my moustache in the against the grain pass. Three shaves is the most I get out of them, but they're pretty good shaves.
