This was my first shave with Le Pere Lucien. I thought the scent from the tin was more medicinal than I'd like, but it opened up nicely when lathered. Paired really well with the aftershave and Lavanda Puig.

Have not used the Mergress in a bit- what a great razor! Flawless performance and one of the better 3-pass shaves I have had in a while.

Prep: Hot shower
Pre: Proraso sensitive
Soap: Stirling - Ozark Mountain (sample)
Bowl: Woodhead Pedestal
Brush: Whipped Dog 24mm synthetic
Razor: ATT R1 + Kronos handle
Blade: Rapira Lux (1)
After: Saponificio Varesino - Fern AS, Clarins ASB

Stirling has really impressed me today. First use of this Ozark Mountain soap sample. The lather was superb one of the best I've ever made; I can't think of any negatives.
I have some Stirling soaps from a few years ago and they had a lardy background scent but this newer formula does not. No skin reaction even though a quite powerful scent. The only downside of the scent, which is not a fault of the soap, is that the pine scent reminds me a little of bathroom cleaners. So it's more the fault of bathroom cleaners always focussing on pine.
The Lux blade pairs really well with the ATT razor. I got a lovely buttered toast raspy feedback and a superb BBS finish. Couldn't be better.

Mike that looks like a great shave - I have Stirling Ozark Mountain and find I have the same problem with it - strong pine-sol smell. Too bad, thats not what pine forests smell like. Also, how do you like your ATT R1? I got the R2 a couple of months back and I'm finding it uncomfortable - I can get the BBS and being careful can avoid the bloodshed but it just feels harsh. Might sell it.
Cheers,
Mark

Superb shave today. I applied the PSO before brushing my teeth so it had two minutes to do its thing. My HIS XL masterfully lathered Fireside right over that. Der Futur effortlessly eliminated my stubble without a hint of drama in three passes on 5.5. I finished up with Lavanille Tonique.
Prep: Van Yulay PSO
Soap: B&M Fireside
Brush: HIS
Razor: der Futur
Blade: Voskhod (2)
AS: B&M Lavanille
EdC: Givenchy Pi Neo
