Okay guys, here’s the sitch. Used the new Alpha ecliptic with a Astra green blade.
Garden of Bali was the soap of choice for the end of year.
Using the restored C-40 with a badger knot helped to lather and coat the face. Along the way. I used iHeartRadio on the Bluetooth speaker filling the room with Miles Davis and Coltrane.
A 4 pass shave with a clean up on the Adam’s apple gave a buttery smooth shave that was real aggressive. You have to go easy with with this Bakelite. You can press too hard and get sliced open like a tomato.
Followed up with the usual alum and witch hazel. Stopped the burn and calmed things down. Fished up wit a healthy splash of my favorite Pitralon Polar with menthol added.

Oubliette Sunday
This scent is so good I had to use it again this soon. The lather was optimal and easy to load and build, thanks to the Silver Surfer. Three close and comfortable passes with the Rockwell and a fresh voskhod and I'm ready to go.

Closing out the year with a great shave. I haven't used Roam in probably 6+ months. It was a great reminder of the awesome leather type scent it contains. But there's more than just leather in it. I am not great at picking out all the scent elements, but it is enjoyable.

I have to say though that I find the scent of the tonique a major miss. Maybe too much vetiver but I smell something akin to liquid smoke in it. I believe in the future I will pair this with Unconditional Surrender instead.

My wife gave me a hug as I was taking this new year's eve picture.
