Mastro Livi Inox, 8/8 Full Hollow, Irish Point

New month, new business trip. This time I brought with me the latest Mastro Livi razor I added to my collection and I am super happy with it because it is exactly like I wanted it to be. Irish point, amaranth wood scales, extra full hollow ground - therefore this is a very singing blade and with a beautiful voice - stainless steel. Moreover this razor has been honed to perfection by Mastro Livi and shaves impeccably well, giving a very close and smooth shave. As for the other stuff, I used a Palmolive Classic Stick - a super cheap soap and, in my opinion, very good compared to price - very handy when you travel. The Omega Professional 48 proved to be a very good brush as usual, one of the very best bristle brush around and, also in this case, sold at a very cheap price.

  • Pre-Shave: RazorGuy Pre-Shave Oil
  • Soap: Palmolive Classic Stick
  • Brush: Omega Professional 48
  • Strop: Mastro Livi Travel Loom Strop and Hand Palm
  • Razor: Mastro Livi Inox, 8/8 Full Hollow, Irish Point
  • Post-Shave: Alum Block
  • Post-Shave: Argan Oil
  • After Shave: RazorGuy Bay Rum

I have enjoyed the scent ever since I got the soap, but it seems to be even more pleasing after these consecutive uses. Somehow I feel that although Michelle makes soaps with a wide variety of scents, the ones I have tried (about a dozen) seem to have some underlying aroma that ties them all together and lets me know that this is Mystic Water I’m using.

Though I have never had any issues lathering MWS even with hard water (except when using a boar brush that wasn’t fully broken in), I decided to make today’s shave extra special, and used distilled water to build the lather. All I can say is it was worth it! I had an extremely pleasant shave. Everything just came together in the best possible way. Happy2

Congratulations, Mattew and this is also one of my favourite scents! Happy2
