[Image: jav1z4m.jpeg]C-MON Royal that had corrosion issues I made into a Shorty with a French point. It's a trash bin special but it got scaled and honed up anyway. It was fun tinkering for a bit.

Pre ...... Soap & Water (PdP Ocean Air Bar)
Brush .... Morris & Forndran L7 Finest (28mm)
Soap ..... Los Jabones de Joserra Orris Root
Razor .... Alpha Spirit
Blade .... Proline P-30
Post ..... Witch Hazel w/Alcohol
Post ..... Amazon Hydrating Hyaluronic Acid Serum
Post ..... Seven Minerals Aloe Vera Gel
Finish ... L'Occitane Eau des Baux EDT

Today was my first ride with the Alpha Spirit.  I had a really thick beard after several shaveless days at the beach, so today's shave was hardly typical.  That said, the shave was incredibly smooth, and I really enjoyed the razor's weight, balance, and handling.  The older I get, the more I appreciate lighter weight razors, and at 62g, the Spirit is on the lighter side for stainless steel.  Efficiency was harder to judge.  Today's bottom line: BBS cheeks, DFS neck, zero blood.  This was neither my closest nor my most meticulous shave, but time will tell, and even as it is, I'm guessing the Spirit will continue to be be an enjoyable tool.

An almost perfect shave other than the big fat bloody bite beneath my lower lip. Not sure what that was about, but this was my first shave with a Schick Proline, so I think I'll blame the blade pending a second go.

Yeah the Schick Proline can be pretty rough out of the box, I usually initialize them with a head shave or a few passes on something milder than the Vector.
But after that short break-in, it’s smooth sailing to 30+ shaves.
