Winter-like skies and 17º C out there. Someone stole our summer in the north of Spain. I almost felt like reaching for the Tabac tub but it was too deep inside the cabinet. The "By Luna" Fauna was the perfect choice with its orange, clove, and lavender scent. Performance?. Top notch. This artisan (female) is earning an excellent reputation over here, and for a good reason.

Three smooth passes and DFS. I felt brave and reached for the "agent orange" aftershave. Good properties and a scent than in most cases, leaves no one indifferent. I probably am the exception to the rule, because I can tolerate it, but wouldn't be able to use on a daily basis. Not even regularly, for that matter. Anyway, icons deserve respect.

Proraso White Tub today. 20 seconds to load the Plisson Badger brush. Easy, thick, slick, lather. Vintage Gillette Platinum Plus still in the Fat Boy. Excellent smooth, close shave. I finished with Stirling Barbershop w/Menthol aftershave.

SR shave #4, using a Joseph Rogers & Sons 13/16 Near Wedge (pre-1890s). Pretty smooth shave. No blood loss. I had a close call under the back left jawline where I felt the blade start to bite, but stopped quickly enough. I decided to adopt a kamisori style technique to clean up those hard to reach areas and it worked very well. It's been fun to test out different grinds.
