Heating and hot water weren't available - so cold water shave :/.

The first impression of the GD pre-shave is very good, details later.

Thanks, Marko. It was several months ago. On a whim I decided to try a RazoRock Mamba, and that led to trying more expensive razor heads (Weber, Wolfman, Paradigm, BBS-1). I had thought they might be too aggressive, but I liked a few of them with my vintage blades so much that I decided to keep them in my rotation. I like the contrasts.
