PARADIGM/POLSILVER :: DORIAN :: SAPONIFICIO VARESINO
Another great shave from the Paradigm. Two passes did the job. The Dorian brush is gorgeous and the ergonomics are outstanding. The knot has ample backbone and good flow, though after two or three lathers still feels a bit rough. There are very dark hairs distributed throughout the knot so it may not soften much, only time will tell.
(I think I know who No.1 is!)

Same good sensations with the Sensor 3 as I had yesterday. Just two passes (WTG, XTG) and not a BBS result, but a very decent one, enough to be smooth to the touch and have a neat look. The important part is how smooth and irritation-free the shave was. I barely felt the Speick splash, and added a dab of Bulldog balm for the sake of good hydration. And I was ready to have a good day.
As you can see, I love my boar brushes. My heart is somewhat divided between the love towards my Omega 31052 and this pretty lady that the Semogue 1305 is. Aesthetics wise there is no doubt for me, the Portuguese "rapariga" (girl) is so sweet looking ... but the Italian is just a step behind, and performance wise, I think I prefer the Omega by a narrow margin. The Italian knot seems to have a better flow-through and the tips seem a tad softer, with less scrub. Some others will prefer it the other way around, but that's me.
- Alvarez Gómez cream
- Semogue 1305
- Gillette Sensor 3
