Pre-shave: Van Der Hagen Shave Butter
Lather: Moon Soaps "Havana"
Brush: PAA Atomic Rocket
Razor: The Winning Razor
Blade: Astra Superior Stainless (1)
Post-shave: Omega Alum Stick and HC&C White Star unscented balm with HC&C "Havana Breeze" fragrance drops
It had been less than 24 hours since my last shave so I wanted a mild but efficient shave. The Winning Razor is exactly that type for me, along with the Henson AL13 and SCS-Model A. The latter are both lightweight aluminum and I wanted something heavier. Moon Soaps Havana is excellent, both in performance and fragrance. It's a standout for me, one that I keep wanting to use in spite of all the other options I have.
Something interesting to me is the fact that I got a great shave from an Astra Superior Stainless blade. I have never gotten a good one from a Superior Platinum. I'm guessing that the stainless are sharper? Whatever it is, I'm glad to know it's an option.
This was essentially a perfect shave. I ended up with an irritation-free BBS result. 10/10. Happy shaves all!
