I had owned a Sabre Level 2 and sold it a couple of years ago. I found the shave too rough. For some odd reason, zig decided to give it another go. I bought a new one last month (of course, just before the Black Friday Sale!)

I have now used the Sabre, same Level 2 plate, three times and each shave has been smooth and efficient. I love this razor. Maybe in the past I used the blade too many times before changing it out. The Gems do last longer than DE blades, but when they start to dull, the shave really struggles. I will be more aware now and toss the blade as soon as I notice any tugging.

I think you will be very happy with your purchase.

SOTN Saturday

prep - shower with Caprina Fresh Goat’s Milk with Shea Butter bar soap
razor - Edwin Jagger DE87
blade - Shaverboy Super Stainless (10)
brush - Fendrihan Classic Pure Grey Badger
soap - Stirling Scots Pine Sheep
post - warm water rinse, DSA “Pure & Natural” alum, cold water rinse
aftershave - Italian Barber's GIT splash
music - Pink Floyd's Animals

I was in a hurry, so as to catch an online live performance by a singer/songwriter friend (Klarka Weinwurm), on Facebook.
It was nice to see her, and so was the shave.
