Is that the newer version of the Ascension in SS? How do you like it?

Yes, it is. Actually a very comfortable and fairly efficient shaver. The curvature of the razor head puts a nice bend on the blade as it provides some tension. It gives one some minor adjustability in blade feel from mild to mid aggressive with a simple twist of the handle. No complaints at all with its performance.....

post - warm water rinse, DSA “Pure & Natural” alum, cold water rinse
aftershave - Pinaud Clubman Classic Vanilla (lots of it!)

Results: BBS with one small but persistent weeper.
