As the various holidays draw closer, how are you preparing your shaves for them? Smile

The Rum Runner was very easy to whip into a rich slick protective lather.  I paid attention to my trouble spots as I progressed through my normal 3 pass routine.  I was rewarded with a near BBS result which is more than good enough for a relaxing morning.  I hope everyone has a great Sunday.

Mastro Livi Grifetto 60, 6/8 Full Hollow, Round Point

For today's shave I chose my Mastro Livi Grifetto 60, the razor celebrating sixty years this renowned Italian artisan dedicated to straight razor. Mastro Livi in fact started working on straight razors in 1955, when he was fourteen and his father allowed him to hone his very first straight razor as he finally thought his son was ready to work on such a noble shaving tool. Mastro Livi learned the art of honing from his father since he was five and he divided his time between working on family's workshop and school. I am enjoying my Mastro Livi Club Shave Brush 2016 Edition very much indeed! It is the only shave brush I am using lately and I love it! Great super silvertip badger loft, beautiful and awesome look, absolutely fitting my hand with its perfect balance and weight. A champion in mounting the lather from Tabac Original Shave Soap, a shave ending with the elegant touch of Floïd Black.

  • Pre-Shave: RazorGuy Pre-Shave Oil
  • Soap: Tabac Original
  • Brush: Mastro Livi Club Super Silvertip Badger 2016, Poplar - Black Ebony - Stainless Steel - Lapislazzuli Handle, 26mm knot
  • Bowl: Old Barber Bowl
  • Strop: Mastro Livi Medium Loom Strop "Coramella Italiana" and Hand Palm
  • Razor: Mastro Livi Grifetto 60, 6/8 Full Hollow, Round Point
  • Post-Shave: Alum Block
  • Post-Shave: Umbrian Extra Virgin Oil
  • After Shave: Floïd Black
