Stirling Sandpiper today. 20 seconds to load the Wild West Brushworks/Elite Razor Manchurian White brush. Easy, thick, slick, lather. Vintage Wilkinson Sword “Light Brigade” NEW Chromium still in the Gillette Fat Boy. Excellent smooth, close, shave. I finished with Stirling Sandpiper aftershave.

Razor: Paradigm 17-4
Blade: GSB (2)
Soap: Noble Otter The Noir et Vanille
Brush: Paladin Neptune Chief CWHB5
Thoughts: Very enjoyable first shave this morning with NO's The Noir et Vanille in their revamped base. Never tried their previous base, but this offering checks all the boxes for me - nice scent, great slickness, sufficient density. Scent-wise, this comes across as a sweet black tea. Going without an aftershave today to put its post-shave properties to the test, and I must say it is performing great so far. I am favorably impressed.

NO was sold out by the time I tried to order. Guess it is worth it to keep trying
Usually Superspeeds are a little mild for my tastes. But this particular one belonged to my grandpa. And today I’m going to his memorial service as he passed away last week. I would like to have shaved with a scent combo a little more manly to honor him, but I don’t know if the folks around me could handle it. I decided on a safe uplifting combo.
