Thanks, Jeff. Once I saw that Simpsons was offering this handle, I knew I had to get one for my photos. Thus, I went with the 'cheapest' route, synthetic, but it was still too much for a synthetic brush.

I had left it behind at a friend's holiday residence and it took me a while to get hold of it again, but my Plisson L'Occitane is finally back home. I just love this brush. Should I have to pick just one amongst the 15 I have so far, it would be this one, no doubt.

How do you like the boar compared to your other high end brushes?

I like boar brushes in general but I’m. It happy with the way this particular Omega knot is breaking in. Likely it’s just this knot as I’ve had good luck with other Omega knots in the past. Maybe I’ll replace this knot with another Omega knot.

The Harrods soap, like most of the other old Floris soaps, is excellent. I'm quite pleased with the Personna blade, which is almost - but not quite - the equal of the Wilkinson Light Brigades and Personna 74 Tungstens.

Baili MkII (aka TeckII)/Astra SS. This goes ATG on coarse head stubble as well as any DE I own (as well as my new Karve). A bit mild for my taste but ultimately a great shaver. Buy two.
