I love the old Floris No. 89 stuff. Supposedly Ian Fleming's and Bond's favorite. And appropriately, I listened to some of John Williams' great film score music on public radio while shaving this morning.

I went with the same soap and splash today, then splash is amazing but lacking in longevity as I used more today with only a marginal improvement. The Zenith actually was slightly less of a lather hog this morning and produced and excellent lather better than yesterday, the Masamune was also an improvement shave over the Excalibur. I still love this soap, but may have to invest in an order from PAA down the line to try other items in the range.

My holy grail shave, Future fiction soap and aftershave/cologne. Everything about the shave was spot on, the soap lather, blade feel and post shave were as expected with CK6 fantastic. The Barts had very little to do on the post shave but was fantastic and the long sought after aftershave was if possible nicer than the soap and possibly a little brighter! It didn’t go made with it but it’s not the strongest PAA splash I have but that may have been me going lightly or the fact it’s an import/export version? Anyway I am more than happy with it so much so I’m going to do the unheard of and use the same soap/splash 2 days in a row!

Nice looking set-up and a great scent!

I found this soap recently, after conferring with our friends here from PAA. Same scent as the original WCS Gatsby, which was loved by many and dearly missed when they went a different route for their v2. Very glad to have it back in the Den.

Will have to see if I can hunt a old puck of the old WCS Gatsby down. Is V2 very different?

I've never smelled v2, but I hear it is different (same wheelhouse, but not the same scent).

V1 was made by PAA, v2 by Oleo I believe.
