Aftershave: Barrister & Mann Vespers
I'm just a touch late to this party but, hahaha, boy is Vespers good! Barrister & Mann strikes again with another killer unique fragrance. Smelling off the jar doesn't do this fragrance justice. Once lathered though, man does the accord unfold.
It's notes of cranberry, balsam, mousse de saxe, and fern are unique and distinctive in their own right. But when blended together artfully and carefully, you get something beautiful and deep like Vespers.
The Omnibus soap itself consumed a good amount of water but not for nothing. The resulting lather was slick as anticipated and just what I needed.
Today I again had the desire to practice my straight razor shaving skills so I reached for my trusty vintage Bengall razor. I took my time enjoying the fragrance of Vespers while paying meticulous attention to the Bengall's edge. I did a few different passes with it before moving on to my Blackbird for the final touches.
The Blackbird razor with its superb design and unrivaled efficiency did an outstanding job of pushing my shave to the bbs level.
When done with this labor of love I slapped on some Vespers aftershave. Seriously, this stuff is good! And if you didn't know, now you know.
Another great shave in the books my friends. Take care and enjoy your shaves.
