Razor: BlackBird in black oxide
Brush: Simpson's Ch2 black marble
Soap: OSP Lavender
AS: Yardley

An extraordinary experience. The more I use the OSP shaving soap, the more it impresses me. I find the lavender scent very delicate, yet pronounced; it has some resembles to the C&S O&C, which I like a lot.

Lovely pic, Alex. I used an OSP soap for the first time, this morning, and have to say that first impressions are very good. I felt I could have done with a bit more water in the mix which I shall do, tomorrow, with another scent. Can't believe it's taken me so long to try another UK artisan soap after Wickham's.

Well this shave was very close. 2 XTG passes then an ATG pass. No cleanup was needed whatsoever and I'm as smooth as can be. I found that I need to choke up more on this razor compared to my other injectors or razors in general. This may have caused me to use a bit more pressure than I should have and it resulted in a fair amount of irritation on the neck and chin. I have a scar on my chin and despite the slickest I have ever had Stirling to get, I still nicked it pretty good. I think for my next attempt I'll skip ATG and just really work on the angle and light pressure. I was just going through my usual shave routine to see how I faired. May have to skip tomorrow's shave to let the neck settle. Stay tuned

Um, ouch.
Worst cut yet, and it's too bad because this was shaping up to be a great shave. I got 1.5 passes in before my stupidity ended that. I also have to be careful how much oil to use, the MWF lather was dissipating before my first pass, I just added water and it worked great. That thing bled for quite a while. I was finally able to stop it with pressure and Proraso liquid coagulant.
Anyone know how to get blood off an alum block? Should I pitch it and get another one?
I am undeterred. I feel that I'm getting better despite the cool new scar. Stopping went very well, and I obviously got a great edge.
