My last shave was with a French razor under the moniker Louis. Upon closer inspection, the actual frame, particularly the baseplate is the same as the L'Essor which I used today. The shave was very similar indeed: smooth, efficient and with a real feeling of class as both razors have a lovely weight and build.

Meißner Tremonia Strong & Scottish is, I think, my favourite from them. Superb to have the accompanying aftershave, which I do hope they will release for other Strong & Scottish fans. Boy, do I smell peaty now! The aftershave is very feeding, giving really smooth skin post-shave, but I do prefer a little tautness and so a spritz of Selin did the trick, not to mention give a gentle light note to the heavy peatiness of the main products.
