My face and I both felt great as the family headed out the door for a birthday party. And, wouldn’t you know it, the subject of double-edge shaving was brought up - not by me, but I certainly didn’t stifle it - and someone even mentioned, “You mean like they shaved in the series Mad Men?!?!”

Pre-shave: Shave Secret
Razor: 1961 Gillette 195 Adjustable "Fat Boy” (WTG = 7, XTG = 5 & ATG = 3)
Blade: Ladas (2)
Brush: Patriotic, Bi-centennial handle with a 24mm TGN Finest knot
Soap: Chiseled Face Groomatorium’s Ghost Town Barber
Water: Cold
Alum Block: Yes, with no wincing.
Post Shave: Thayer's Witch Hazel with Aloe
Aftershave Balm: Proraso (White)
Aftershave: Chiseled Face Groomatorium’s Ghost Town Barber
After showering:

Blade – Gillette 7 O’Clock Super Stainless
Brush - 'The Archduke' (Bob Sears Archduke 26/50 2-Band Manchurian)
Soap – Phoenix and Beau Unscented
Post - Witch Hazel
the Gillette 7 O’Clock Super Stainless is a touch too much with ‘The Rock’... not a blade that I can really relax with.... 'The Archduke' is just a wonderful brush.. it takes a little longer to load, due I guess to the gel (hooked) tips, but man, it's a real joy to throw around yer chops...
