This was, surprisingly, one of the better shaves I've had in months. It was comfortable, very comfortable, nearly weeper-free, and it had noticeably minimal burn when applying the alcohol-based A/S. A coworker gifted me this razor. I was extremely skeptical when I received it, but I did assure my coworker that I would put the razor to use.
And did I ever. Wow, what a pleasure it was. I'm very much looking forward to using it again. It reminds me in many ways of the Feather AS-D2. Very mild, yet it definitely gets the job done. And it's likely impossible to get a real nick from it. Yes, I got a weeper (on my mustache, a common problem area), but I got no nicks and at no time was I ever fearful of getting a nick. That's how I feel about an AS-D2, too. The PL-602 and AS-D2 are designed in such a way that nicks are going to be very difficult to get.
Give the Dorco PL-602 a try. It's surprisingly good.
