prep - shower with Caprina Fresh Goat’s Milk with Shea Butter bar soap
razor - RazoRock Hawk V2
blade - KAI Captain Titan Mild (5)
brush - Stirling 2-Band Synthetic
soap - Wilkinson Sword, with a few (4?) drops of glycerin
post - warm water rinse, DSA “Pure & Natural” alum, cold water rinse
aftershave - Mennen Skin Bracer
music - streaming "SomaFM: Doomed - Dark industrial/ambient music for tortured souls"
The music pretty much set the tone for the rest of the shave.
I usually mix WS with a cream, like Nivea, but I thought I'd try it without tonight. I still felt compelled to add the glycerin.
It looked okay in the bowl and on the brush, but it still had no residual slickness. Plus it still smelled the same. Ick.
Then the RR Hawk and KAI blade felt somewhat rough. I really must try a different brand of blade in it.
Results: A BBS, but at the price of two weepers, plus far more alum and aftershave feedback than I'm used to.
As far as the music went, it was okay until the end when they started playing a track with an awful singer. Imagine Jim Morrison but with really bad intonation.
