Prep: Hot shower
Pre: Murdock Avalon oil
Soap: Saponificio Varesino - Felce Aromatica
Bowl: Fine Accoutrements
Brush: Vie-Long Horse Hair 13061M
Razor: Merkur Progress @2.5, 2, 2
Blade: Gillette Silver Blue (2)
After: WH, Myrsol Plastic AS, Nivea ASB

This week I've been using Saponificio Varesino to get to know it better. It's not a soap for me unfortunately; too sticky with little cushion and mass which provides little protection. The scent is less of Felce Aromatica and more of Faintly Aromatic; I can only just detect a fern scent at all. To top it all it leaves my skin feeling tacky and dried at the same time, which is weird.
Apart from all those negatives I was able to get a half decent shave so I wouldn't discount it totally, it's just that it doesn't float my boat.

Have a great day, folks.

SOAP: Catie's Glace Herbe
BRUSG: Shavemac Silvertip Two Band 26x50
RAZOR: ATT R1 with UFO handle
RAZOR: Feather #1
LOADING: Técnica Wet Brush
LEATHERING: En Cara
TWO PASSES IN THE FACE
THREE PASSES IN THE HEAD
RAZOR FOR THE HEAD: R41
RAZOR FOR R41: Iridium Súper.
BALM: Korres
AFTER: Fine Clean Vetiver

The brush is fantastic. It has very soft points but the trunk is quite sturdy, a little harder than a normal Silvertip but the D01 model is stronger and it gives another type of sensations.

Hi Marko, great marketing from the company led me to pick it up [supposedly old recipes discovered from family member who was an old time apothecary in the Washington DC area].

The scent is very interesting to me; I normally don't wear cologne etc. and this has that type scent but it is definitely "old school". It has elements of citrus, sandalwood and vanilla. No note really forward, more balanced.

Performance is good if not great. Can be a little finicky on the load and water but easy to dial in and once you do offers a decent, protective shave. Fair cushion and good slickness.

Post shave is in the good range as well.

I have had the tub for quite a while but at the time they did send samples of all their AS as well which I thought were good and pleasant to use too.

Overall, I keep it around because it is a very unique scent. That's my un-pro snapshot Smile
