Enjoying my first few shaves with MacDuff's Kananaskis Explorer. It seems to live somewhere in between MacDuff's Black Rock and Santa's Workshop. I only purchased the soap but find MacDuff's Black Rock aftershave pairs well. Hope everyone is enjoying the holidays.

Brush:  AP Shave G5C
Soap:  Tallow + Steel Indian Bay
Razor:  Paradigm Salient
Blade:  AccuThrive
Splash:  Ethos Clean
Scent: Xerjoff 1861 Naxos

Due to the kindness of a DFS-er, I've been able to try the AccuThrive blades. Really fabulous.  Have used them now three times.  Twice in the Salient and once in my H&S N074 and each shave has been as smooth as can be and also exceedingly close. Really happy with these blades, which are apparently the new iteration of the Persona Med Preps (perhaps the same, it appears).  Whether they are worth the money, because they are not cheap, or are the same as or better or worse than the AccuForge blades (which are rebranded Persona Blues), I do not know. But they are very fine.  Absolutely are probably going to be in my top category.

Daveso Garanti OC razor,
Astra SP,
Goodfellas Smile Wild Hog boar bristle brush,
Speick Vegan soap,
Arko Platinum cologne...

I used the vintage Daveso Garanti OC razor for the first time. He gave a decent shave in two pass on a two-day growth of beard. I think that the razor can only be produced so precisely with the techniques of that period. It cannot hold the blade properly and very tightly, the holes of the bottom table are larger than poles, it is necessary to align the blade well by hand when placing it, there is blade chattering, I can say that it is a medium aggressive razor. But it didn't shave very cleanly, and although I wanted to do the third pass, but I didn't do it in case it irritated me. Compared to today's modern safety razors and production techniques, it is a machine that is far behind in terms of workmanship and precision production.

Love, respect and health from the foggy and cold Balıkesir morning to everyone...
