This was my first go with the Mamba. I found it to be extremely mild yet super efficient. This razor is perfect as a daily driver and should give no irritation. There is no guess work with using the correct angle since it won't cut unless you are at the angle it wants you to be, lol. BBS shaves will be harder to come by as it requires lots of buffing / cleanup but it's possible. I used GD's tallow and duck soap which has a plethora of residual slickness. I will have another go tomorrow with a different soap to see if I can get another BBS. At a $50 price point; the finish is beautiful and it has a nice heft to it.

Unconditionally Superb Shave
I decided to go with US and my Silver Surfer brush for my first post Tabac shave and I am delighted with the results. I used the salve as a preshave butter and the toner to finish up. L&L has one of the top performing lathers and today was no exception. The brush was noticably softer than the boar I've been using and it loaded faster. I think I'll skip the boar on any LE soaps in order to make them last longer.
- Omega 31052
- MWF
- Maggard OC+Gillete Platinum
- Speick+"By Luna" artisan after shave balm
Just a tad short of BBS, well within DFS territory after the three customary passes, with no ATG pass, just 2xXTG and WTG, of course. This Omega is definitely my favourite boar brush for a number a reasons, basically because it shows no tendency to devour my lather and that it splays less than a 1305. I just like how this knot works better.
As for the soap, the recipe is over a century old and still can look the top performers straight in the eye. Go beat that.
