Sample Menthol Monday
I was given many samples over the weekend by a very generous friend. Today I decided to try Stirling Gentleman, which seemed like a strong tobacco at first, but didn't agree with my nose this morning. I switched to 322 and went with that.
The scent is sweet over some darker notes. The soap did not tolerate the too much water I started with, but came back with more loading. The shave was comfortable and without drama, but I don't think 322 is for me. I'm very glad I tried it, though.

'El Monstruo'+Angel’s Share began what promised to be a stellar shave, only to be dashed by the Astra, which was past its prime, and provided a very unpleasant shave with the TR-1.

H et V Cognac & Cuban Cigars today. 20 seconds to load the H et V HMW. Easy, thick, slick, lather. Wilkinson Sword “Light Brigade” still in the Gillette NEW SC. Excellent smooth, close shave. I finished with Henri et Victoria Cognac & Cuban Cigars aftershave.

The more I use this Omega boar, the more I like it. I've been using it quite often lately, and it has rewarded me with a softness of tips difficult to believe, along with the usual good backbone inherent to any boar brush. I'll buy more badger brushes, needless to say, but that I could do with this Omega and a synthetic for travel purposes is a truth that I know myself, but that all the badgers of the People's Republic of China also know.

Glorious three pass shave with my favorite razor, my Merkur Slant. The one I'd keep if I had to have only one razor.
