Second use of the Valobra stick. I think that yesterday I over hydrated the lather. Today I used less water and worked the lather more, and obtained a different, and more effective, consistency. This speaks for how tolerant to water the soap is and how versatile, allowing to fine tune the lather to your preferences. Today's lather was creamy and mayonnaise-like, yesterday was more of a thick foam. Either way, I prefer the former over the latter and it worked perfectly. Excellent glide and protection. I'm quite happy with the purchase. The scent is faint, but I can live with that in a travel soap.

Route 66 Lavender Woods today. 20 seconds to load the Elite Manchurian White. Easy, thick, slick, lather. Gillette “Spoiler” SS still in the Maggard V2 OC. Excellent smooth, close shave. I finished with Burberry Brit EdT.

Rainy Tabacstag!
Superb shave as usual with Tabac. It has been a rainy week, I was able to narrowly avoid a flooded basement last Sunday.
