Face was pretty beat up by spring-cleaning-related sun exposure.  Managed to wait 48 hours before shaving, which is highly unusual.  Went with a mild razor, a light handle, a sharp blade, an excellent brush, and the best soap in my den.  (Went with unscented as this was an evening shave).  Differential treatment of face and neck, also unusual.  It worked out wonderfully.  Sometimes the high end gear is greatly appreciated.
