Edwin Jagger DEL89L
Gillette 7 O'Clock Super Stainless
Barbería Alvarez Gómez shaving cream
Home brewed after shave splash
Aloe Vera 98% "Yerbas Vivas" gel.
Three passes, and BBS. The Alvarez Gómez is top notch stuff. Those in the EU will have easy access to it as there are several vendors in Spain that will ship within the EU. I can't tell if they'd ship overseas, but as usual, customs and shipping costs are the actual problem. This cream has a lovely citric and woody smell, lathers very easily and provides a slick, very cushioning and lubricating lather. Post-shave is wonderful. It's my favorite product to date (haven't tried that many, to be honest), but according to some much more experienced fellows at foroafeitado.com, this cream stands at the same level of other well-known, twice-the-price brands. Definitely worth a try.
The other products are well known and don't require further explanation. I'm really happy with my Edwin Jagger, in love with my Plisson L'Occitane and those 7 O'Clocks are my go-to blades when I want a close and smooth shave. If I want an even closer shave then I reach for my 7 O'Clock yellows, Feathers, or Astra SS, but for everyday use, these "greens" are perfect for my skin, and still cope really well with my extra rough facial hair, suitable for filing oak wood if needed. A tad of Aloe Vera gel is always helpful, but truth to be told, I had no weepers or irritation at all. Just a perfect shave. I just hope I had discovered traditional shaving twenty five years ago...
