I cannot adequately express how much I admire what Barrister_N_Mann has done here. The scent of Beaudelaire to me is like stepping into a private library that is full of the finest leather-bound books. There is the noble, even opulent fragrance of the priceless books that rest on handsome wooden shelves, and from a corner, a slight green fragrance joins the mix. I think it might be a fern. Smile

That’s just the scent. Performance-wise the shave was one of the best in recent memory. Enjoying the scent so much really helped me take the time to make the Gem shine doing its duty. This was one for the books. (Fine, leather-bound books.)

Whenever I go to shave, I assume there’s someone else on the planet shaving, so I say “I’m gonna go shave, too.”

Cool looking brush there Kevin!
Thanks Hector - the knot has a pretty pronounced glue bump and the first few uses the jury was out but it is starting to loosen up and grow on me.

The handle on the other hand itself is HEAVY and I really do like it. It slipped off the edge of the soap right before snapping that image and I actually checked the granite to see if it chipped it. That solid!

Ouch!

I'm fixing to place an order with Scott for one of this type of knot. He has some lovely handles so the decision is going to be hardSmile

Yeah, Scott's brushes on the other hand are phenomenal - I only have two but they are both very creative and a pleasure to use! Look forward to seeing what you pick up!

Razor: Timeless OC w/Hempel Ti
Blade: Gillette Silver Blue (6)
Brush: El Druida Red Heart/African Blackwood 2 Band
Soap: Route 66 Lumberjack
Aftershave: Myrsol Blue

Slowly this razor is moving into first place as my favorite DE razor. The new El Druida brush performed outstanding right out of the box. Not to my surprise the Route 66 Lumberjack whipped into a great lather providing a slick, thick lather. The finish with Myrsol Blue added to this BBS. Happy2
Have a great weekend each and all.
