Monday Evening Injector Shave

Razor: Schick J
Blade: sChick
Brush: Yaqi 24 mm badger
Soap: Saponifico Varesino 70th Ann.
A/S: Proraso magical green goodness

First use of SV soap and a badger brush picked up on sale at end of 2021 before beginning the year of frugality Smile. Very first use of the Schick J. I have a preference for short handles, but I appreciate when longer handles are well designed. This one is balanced perfectly, the ribbed handle feels secure, and guided me to a nice shave. I appreciate the 1950s aura that this style razor exudes, from the shiny head with crown emblem to the cream colored perfectly shaped handle. I achieved a shade below BBS shave, but required 3 passes plus touch ups to get there. No weepers or irritation. An excellent shave tonight.

prep - shower with Caprina Fresh Goat’s Milk with Shea Butter bar soap
razor - Edwin Jagger DE87
blade - Shaverboy Super Stainless (8)
brush - vintage Barbershop handle with APShaveCo Tuxedo knot
soap - Williams Mug
post - warm water rinse, DSA “Pure & Natural” alum, cold water rinse

Thought I'd try out my new-to-me scuttle tonight, which is a perfect occasion for the Williams.
The bottom is unglazed, hence the need for the red silicone pad.

Nice 3 passer, but the 77 needs a trip to the pasted leather strops, CrOx on linen and leather stropping didn't keep it from being tuggy/irritating on the XTG neck clean up pass. If the pasted strops don't fix it....guess it's time to dig the hone setup out of hiding.
