What a wonderful shave I had today to kick off Vintage April '23. It's a beautiful razor and a rare one at that. I'm very happy to own this small but remarkable piece of history.
On the menu today was some seductive and deep Magique from HC&C. Its scent is an homage to Sauvage by Dior if you didn't know and is a really good one at that. With Sauvage being a very popular fragrance there are other dupes out there but you really can't go wrong with this one. HC&C uses high-quality fragrance oils and their soap base is top-tier so you know you're getting some good stuff if you go this route.
I used my new T.W.S.S. faux horn V1 for the first time and was thoroughly impressed. For a modest fee this brush with its 26mm synthetic knot, performs very well. The fan knot easily helped me whip up some great lather and the handle has a nice feel which is easy to grip and is something I really appreciated.
I did a four-pass shave because I wanted to. Also because it's Sunday and I was listening to Breakfast With The Beatles on the radio. I was having a great time shaving and listening to some sweet jams so I took my time. Ultimately I earned a fabulous bbs and was pleased, to say the least.
I splashed on some matching Sauvage, I mean Magique aftershave. Haha. It's spot on I tell you. Then I was ready for the day.
I hope you all enjoy your Sunday and your shaves.
Prepare for mind control!
