Salubrious times for wet shaving - indeed - as now always finding quality products, soaps etc. to perform the daily program of achieving a smooth face to set up success in the battle-day ahead.  Just as Alexander the Great ordered his men to shave so there was no beard to grasp by the enemy.

Found another Canadian purveyor of quality as just tried DeLuxe Shaving - Soul Man cream.  Another superb product (scent akin to Mystic Water Orange and Vanilla) and excellent post shave response.  Their silvertip brush is well . . . ¡ay, caramba! . . . a retro styled massive bit o' badger for luxuriating the face.  The vendor warns the customer thus . . . "all you people who are afraid of using up your soap should stop reading now". . . "loading time is typically two to three times longer than I would normally load".  So for those wanting to use up some product to try something new - this may be the method . . . or the madness.

I'm hesitant because of the emphasis on leather in the promo. I like leather how you do it but whenever I hear leather I have PTSD flashbacks to Tiki Bar Out West which is LEATHER!!! and nothing else.

I was very impressed with this collaboration as this scent is perfectly on brand for Chiseled Face. Seems like a match made in heaven.

I wouldn't worry too much about the leather being overwhelming. There are the rich wood notes, some sweetness underneath from the amber, musk, tobacco and rum, plus the kick from the herbs, pine and agar give it a punch. A lot of people say how earthy it is, but I find it to be a rich and rewarding animalic scent. It may not be for everyone necessarily, but I see a lot of people who have been pleasantly surprised by the scent, including myself. I caught a big whiff of rum off of the puck, which initially had me worried, but it really comes together once lathered. Very nice stuff!

Rum? Heheh, I wish! Off the puck, on most soaps is unreliable (I'm not telling you anything you don't already know). However, on this one, it's down right deceiving. I got a huge offensive burst of NH3 immediately after opening the jar. I should have let it breathe at least. I thought I'd ordered cat piss instead of Rhino! Fortunately, lathered, it's an outstanding frag. I'm glad I have the EdP on the way.

Razor: Portland Razor Co. Chimera/Supply Provision Custom 3 dot head
Blade: Chick
Brush: That Darn Rob silvertip
Soap: B&M Hallows
Post Care: Thayers Witch Hazel
Alum
Aftershave: B&M Hallows

Another couple of firsts tonight; first try of the Hallows and Chimera. First, the Hallows, something drew me towards using this soap tonight, maybe it was a sense of dread. I don't care what it was, I love this scent. Very dark, I got a lot of chocolate of the soap and a little dark Vetiver. The aftershave is slightly different, I'm getting a predominately wet forest scent with some more Vetiver thrown in. Awesome!

Speaking of awesome, the Chimera was a pleasure to use, awkward, but still a pleasure. Since I can count on one hand my number of straight shaves I stuck with only using it for the sides of my face and neck. It's loud, balanced and easy to maneuver. I only did WTG passes but I did 3 then cleaned up everything with the Supply. Not BBS but close and zero blood or irritation. Excellent shave tonight. Have a great day folks!

Beautiful picture of fine products Guy. How do you like that soap and aftershave?

Grace O' Malley set was purchased directly from Black Ship. Just got it in so first run will be in the morning but it is a Green Irish Tweed clone from the mid level aroma I pickup. See if the aroma blooms more once lathered up.
