Hello everyone! Hope you had a pleasant evening.

Great mid-morning shave today. Returned to my vintage Shulton Old Spice shave soap, aftershave lotion, talc and EdC. Great old school scent with phenomenal lather built with the Ever-Ready C40 Badger brush for two passes (plus touch-up) with the '58 Gillette Super Speed and I finished with a splash of Quinn's Pink Grapefruit & Orange Rind witch hazel, followed by the matching aftershave lotion, talc & EdT.

Hope you have a great day. Smile

Slight change of pace:

Razor:  Pearl "The Sleek" (modified)
Blade:  very dull SilverMax (rebranded platinum coated EuroMax)
Soap:    Cella Crema Sapone Professionale
Brush:  Omega Puro Tasso black badger
Bowl:    Fine Accoutrements
A/S:     Whiskey Woods

I got a last minute invitation from my neighbor to go to a jazz performance so I needed a quick shave. I had a one day beard, and figured that I could get away with a quick two pass SE shave on an old blade. Boy was I wrong. I lathered up some Cella Crema Professionale soap with a hot badger brush and went to town with the first pass AGT. Wow......drag, drag, drag. Then the second pass XTG better but still draggy. Shave wasn't close so a quick third clean up pass. It was OK as my friend and I are not that close (if you know what I mean). Today is the next day and it is almost as if I had not shaved yesterday.

Lesson learned, blade changed.

What is interesting about this is that a dull blade does perfectly fine on a clean up pass after a double pass SR shave.
